Leading with Agility
In the ever-evolving landscape of business, Agile has been
seeping into organizations across a broad range of industries. The agile way of
working isn't exclusive to tech companies or software development anymore; it
is reshaping functions such as finance, marketing, human resources, and product
management.
Fundamentally, Agile is about leadership - but not as
traditionally understood. The command-and-control leadership paradigm disrupts
the Agile process, especially when it comes to Business Agility.
Join us for this insightful webinar as we delve deep into
the role of leadership in Agile, primarily focusing on self-leadership and
self-management - the cornerstones of any Agile work structure. The discussion
will be framed around the pioneering work ICAgile has done with their new
certification offering, "Leading with Agility".
This session serves as an introduction to the transformation
required to embrace and excel in Business Agility. We'll spotlight the core
element that drives innovation and accelerates learning.
You will learn:
• Comprehend the dynamics of Power and
Influence
• Discover the Leadership Styles
conducive to Agile
• Unearth the significance of Emotional
Intelligence; particularly self-awareness and self-management
• Understand the essence of Mindfulness
• Recognize the role of Values and
Purpose at the heart of effective work
• Introduction to Growth Mindset

From Project to
Product: Leaders, Here's What It Means to You
Presented by Anne Steiner, Chief Product Coach, Cprime
Project to product is all the rage these days. You, your
boss, or your company are already talking about this. Heck, your group has been
"agile" for years now, but this next phase seems to just be a
repackaging of that.
In this webinar, Anne Steiner, Chief Product
Coach at Cprime, will get into Project to
Product from the leader's perspective. We'll explore "why we should
care" and "what this really means". Then, we'll deep dive into
the following keys to leadership success in driving this change:
• Your help, involvement, and willingness to influence change
is critical. Team-level change isn't enough and will yield limited benefits.
• You need more than just engineering/IT buy-in to be
successful. It takes the whole enterprise.
• Product management is a thing. We'll learn what it is, how
it is different from project management, and why it is critical to market
domination and product success.
Lastly, we'll leave you with some tips for success that will
guide you in driving change whether you sit at the manager, director, VP, or
C-level.

Essential Requirements
Practices with Karl Wiegers
Presented by Karl Wiegers, Principal Consultant, Process
Impact
Many big books on software requirements and business
analysis recommend dozens and dozens of practices. They’re all useful in
appropriate situations, but it’s daunting to try to remember—let alone
implement—the whole set consistently. However, every project should perform 20
core requirements activities. These lay a solid foundation for success and help
teams efficiently and effectively elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and
manage their requirements. These practices are valuable for both traditional
and agile projects, regardless of the kind of product you’re building.
This presentation identifies those 20 core practices and
drills down into several of them. They can help project and product teams
understand the business problem, engage the right participants, articulate
effective solutions, communicate information among stakeholders, implement the
right functionality in the right sequence, and adapt to change. Do you have to
perform all 20 of these on your project? Maybe not, but you’ll feel less pain
and get better results if you do.
Learning Objectives
• Identify the 20 practices that
contribute most heavily to business analysis success
• Understand how to apply certain of
those practices on both agile and traditional projects
• Enable you to begin a self-assessment
of how to improve your team’s requirements practices

Emotional Intelligence
for Career Success
Presented by Dr. Jenny Woo, Founder and CEO, Mind Brain
Emotion
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to understand
your own emotions and the emotions of others and to apply that understanding to
effectively lead, solve problems and make smart decisions. People with high EQ
are associated with better workplace performance, physical and mental health,
social relationships, and resilience. In practice, EQ is essential for standing
out in job interviews, collaborating in teams, and influencing others. In this
webinar, participants will learn about the dimensions of emotional intelligence
and how to apply them to improve branding, communications, and leadership.

Business Analytics
Series: Choosing a Representative Group of People for a Survey
Presented by Dr. Mark Griffin, Founding Director, Insight
Research Services Associated
Within any survey we are interested in what the data says
about a population (or community) of respondents. To obtain accurate results we
need to hear from a representative group of people from that population, if we
only really talk to one demographic within that population, we will obtain
biased results. As an extreme example of this you can imagine going to a Coke
factory and asking the staff whether they enjoying drinking Coke, and then
going next door to the Pepsi factory and asking the staff there whether they
enjoy drinking Coke. Are staff going to be answering the question in the same
way (particularly if they know that their employers are listening to their
responses). To address these issues, we ideally need to make sure that the
people completing our survey have the same diversity as the people in our
population of interest. While this is the ideal, this kind of bias might be
reduced through a mathematical process during the data analysis called
weighting.
Within this webinar we will explore the following topics:
• What is representativeness?
• What is the difference between the target
population (the population we want to understand) and the sampling frame (the
population that we can include in our survey)?
• How do we choose a representative sample
from the sampling frame (with mathematical techniques such as stratified
sampling and cluster sampling)?
• How can weighting be used to minimize
potential bias during the data analysis? Surveys and
Questionnaires are discussed in Section 3.17 of the IIBA
Guide to Business Data Analytics.
