Presented by Scott Young, Consultant
The business case is a key step used to articulate the value of the solution and positioned to the customer's business objectives. The business case needs to be compelling and present the proposal aligned to how the customer will evaluate the opportunity.
To be credible the business case must
not only articulate the advocated solution, but also highlight the business
benefits that will be realized by the customer.
In this hour-long webinar, business
technology expert Scott Young will cover:
·
Cause and Effect Benefit
Logic Model - Understanding how we can use this process to look at both the
direct and indirect business benefits of a solution architecture.
·
Benefit Credibility - Use
the target state blueprint views to facilitate the stakeholder review of
benefit. From this review we can assess the benefits per objective. Then we
score and weight, rating to evaluate the relative importance of benefits to
business objectives.
·
Solution Business Value
Justification - This process allows for the business to weigh the risk and
reward of the benefit and does so through assessment by the key stakeholders.
Usually the key stakeholder will be sponsors, SMEs and the executive.

Predictive Analytics and the
Hybrid Cloud
Presented by Cindy Waxer,
Contributing Editor, Ziff DavisPredictive analytics is a powerful tool for businesses in anticipating what will happen in the future. From credit card companies forecasting delinquent accounts to retailers predicting which hair products will sell best during a heat wave, predictive analytics is helping companies leverage the power of data in ways never before possible.
In getting a predictive analytics system up and running many companies turn to cloud computing for its ease of deployment, low capital investment and faster time-to-value. However, while cloud computing delivers its fair share of benefits, there is more than one way to support a predictive analytics environment. Enter the hybrid cloud: the perfect combination of public, private and on-prem assets. In fact, market research company MarketsandMarkets.com estimates the global hybrid cloud market will reach $84.67 billion by 2019.
By seamlessly linking public cloud services with private infrastructure, the hybrid cloud allows companies to keep the data they analyze within their own walls for maximum privacy and security while reaping the cost-saving rewards of the cloud. Join this webinar to:
·
Find out how hybrid clouds address serious data security
and confidentiality concerns
·
Discover how hybrid clouds impact performance in terms of
eliminating latency, increasing resiliency and improving disaster recovery
·
Learn how to make the most of predictive analytics in a
hybrid cloud environment while recognizing the hybrid cloud's limitations

The goal of agile teams is to continuously deliver
high-value outcomes—as quickly as possible. To achieve this, these teams focus
on skills rather than titles or traditional role delineations. So what does
that mean for the experienced business analyst, product manager, or project
manager?
Where do planning and analysis skills fit into agile’s fierce focus on frequent delivery?
One of the most vexing debates within the agile community is around the topic of roles. Typical questions include: What does the business analyst (BA) do on an agile project? Can a BA be a Product Owner (PO)? What happens to product management on an agile project? Is the product manager the PO? Can a BA be a ScrumMaster? Is there an agile project manager? Can a ScrumMaster also be a business analyst?
Drawing on her insights from coaching many agile teams in a variety of industries, Ellen Gottesdiener addresses these questions and outlines the dynamic relationships between agile work, disciplines, and skills. Join in to discover how shifting from role-based to skill-based work enables you to collaboratively contribute to any agile effort.
Ellen Gottesdiener is an internationally recognized leader in the convergence of agile + requirements + product management + project management. Ellen is founder and principal of EBG Consulting, which helps organizations adapt how they collaborate to improve business outcomes. Many people in the agile community have found EBG’s innovations in agile requirements discovery both powerful and practical. EBG provides training, coaching, and facilitates discovery and planning workshops across diverse industries.

Balancing Security
Requirements with Open Knowledge Sharing
Presented by
Ken Lobenstein and Vandana Mysore, Deloitte & ToucheAccording to APQC’s research, 77 percent of organizations expect changes in information security to affect their knowledge management programs in the next 2 to 3 years. But as security policies and technologies evolve, how can organizations balance the need to protect sensitive data and intellectual property with KM’s imperative to facilitate broad access to enterprise knowledge?
Join us for APQC’s November Knowledge Management Community Call on November 19 at 12:00 p.m. CDT, featuring Deloitte & Touche's Ken Lobenstein, Cyber Security Specialist Leader and Vandana Mysore, Associate Director, Global Knowledge Services. The call will focus on the relationship between information security and KM—two disciplines that seem to have opposing guiding philosophies. After highlighting the latest on security requirements and frameworks, they will discuss how to evaluate competing KM and security needs and how knowledge managers can work with in-house information security teams to ensure compliance while still preserving an open knowledge-sharing environment.

process to measure, demonstrate and articulate that the benefits have been
realized.
