Presented by David Mantica
As organizations flatten to meet the
dramatic impacts that disruption and change are having on business, the
dynamics of influence are changing rapidly. The old concept of managing up and
managing down is being replaced by executing and engaging horizontally
throughout the entire organization. To become effective you must show you can
get things done while navigating the complexities brought by flat
organizations.
Flat organizations might at first seem
simple to work through. But the reality is much different. Flat organizations
can bring more politics and road blocks as the number of people involved in a
decision increase. When you democratize the decision making in an organization,
things will slow down and there will be some level of dysfunction.
This presentation will explain why
organizations have started to flatten and how professionals can successfully
navigate any organization type. We will compare matrix, command and control,
and bottom up influence. Then we will look at the psychology of organizational
behavior in order to highlight the key professionals skills required to get
execution as well as give real-world examples to show different pathways to
execution.
Things you will learn in this
presentation:
·
Professionals skills
required to be a strong influencer
·
Basics of matrix
organizations
·
Basics of command and
control organizations
·
Basics of self-organized
management style
·
High level look at
organizational psychology
·
What happens to
"bad" or manipulative Influencers, staying away from the "strategy
person" trap
·

of a life well lived.

Techniques of creating your day with gratitude and

Stress in the Workplace:
Using Mind Over Matter to Become a Star Performer
Presented by
Casey Mitchell, Instructor and Consultant, Corporate Education Group
Stress occurs when pressure exceeds one’s ability to cope.
And it’s no secret that the demands of today’s workplace create more pressure
than ever before. Uncertainty in the marketplace, doing more with less, and
coping with unhealthy working relationships can cause stress levels to soar.
While some stress may actually be good for you by keeping you alert and
focused, too much stress can take a toll on your emotional and physical health,
not to mention its impact on your work performance. You can become less able to
learn and find it tougher to make decisions. The organization pays the price as
well. Too much workplace stress diminishes productivity, increases absenteeism
and employee turnover, and even adds to the burden of medical and legal costs.
This webinar will help you:
