Building Microservices Architecture with Docker and Kubernetes
Presented by Christian Melendez, ASPE Training

Microservices have been here for a while now, and there are many ways how you can build a microservices architecture. With the increasing popularity of Docker and Kubernetes, things have changed, for sure. Many of the Kubernetes features fit very well for distributed applications, and especially microservices. For instance, features like service discovery, auto-recovery, or configuration management come built-in in Kubernetes. Although building microservices with Kubernetes makes a lot of sense, it's not an easy task, and there are a lot of concepts and considerations you need before you start this journey.
In this webinar, you'll learn how microservices have evolved in recent years, and why Kubernetes and Docker are a perfect fit for this architecture style. You'll learn what tools, projects, and frameworks are at your disposal to get started quickly. Then, I'll showcase how you can build a microservices architecture by deeply looking at an existing application. I'll show you what things would change, and how you can deploy a change in seconds. Don't expect me to have a lot of slides. Instead, you'll see me having fun coding and playing with Docker, Kubernetes ... and why not, the cloud.

Digital Transformation in a Project-driven World
Presented by Ryan McManus, co-founder of techtonic.io

There is a disconnect between how project leaders develop strategy and the new rules of the digital revolution. The digital world is very changed from the one that gave birth to popular strategic concepts.

By default, leaders are often:

·        applying out-dated strategy models and thinking to the new world.
·        trying to squeeze the exponential competitive realities of the digital revolution into linear strategic planning and execution concepts.

Join Ryan McManus as he discusses the scope of the digital era that's impacting project work and how adaptive leadership can guide you and your teams to thrive in disruptive times.
