Enterprise Agile Requirements
Presented by Blueprint Systems

Almost every enterprise today is somewhere on the journey of transitioning to agile development approaches. Many of these enterprises are struggling as they try to reconcile traditional business functions with agile development teams. It becomes even more challenging when you consider how to handle the realities of all the different aspects relating to this transition such as compliance management and audits, business cases and funding, release management and program management. How you deal with requirements impacts virtually every one of these areas and is central to how agile projects can be done successfully in the enterprise. Join us as we present an approach for requirements definition and management on enterprise agile projects using Blueprint. In this session, we describe the approach in detail and show a real-world example of it being applied.

What will be covered in the webinar:

·         The current state of agile development in the enterprise and our experience with existing Blueprint customers.
·         How Blueprint can address the requirements around an agile or a hybrid development approach to ensure a smooth transition.
·         A live demonstration of Blueprint and how it fits into the agile process with seamless integration into ALM systems such as Rally, Jira, VersionOne, and MS TFS.

Agile Contracts
Presented by NK Shrivastava, MBA, PMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-ACP, CSM

There are numerous benefits of Agile methodology to both developers and customers.  By using Agile, customers get constant, immediate value in the form of usable software delivered and improved through sprints.  Developers, through using Agile, form self-motivating teams that deliver constant value and embrace change by adopting the fixed-time, fixed-cost, flexible scope approach.

To get the most out of these benefits, though, the contract for the agile project needs to be structured in a way that allows for maximum benefit and does not needlessly restrict the agile process. Traditional software development contracts for waterfall projects are often lacking key features that need to be in place for agile projects. At best, the wrong type of contract will not help the agile project; at worst, it can hinder the progress of the project.

An effective agile contract needs to be flexible and adequately define the roles and responsibilities, commitment level, and risk-sharing of both sides. This type of contract should also have the added benefit of fostering an environment of trust and positive relationship-building. This presentation is an examination of the key features of agile contracts and what kinds of contracts work best with agile projects. It also features examples to aid in understanding. The presentation is ideal for anyone actively engaged in an agile project or in project initiation in their organizations.
